Established from roots dating back to 2008, the company has grown from a focus on ultrasonic cleaning systems into a comprehensive partner for precision machining, fabrication, sub-system manufacturing, machine assembly, and specialized engineering solutions. Its capabilities include CNC milling, VMC, turning, turn-mill, 5-axis machining, laser cutting, sheet metal bending, welding, and custom enclosures. Waveultra supports customers from prototypes and low-volume runs through repeat production and complete machine builds, integrating quality and inspection throughout the manufacturing process. From individual precision parts to fully assembled machines, the company works closely with clients to build around specific requirements. Role Description This is an on-site Quality Engineer internship role based in Bengaluru. The intern will assist in monitoring and maintaining product quality across precision machining, fabrication, and assembly operations, including supporting in-process and final inspections. Responsibilities include helping to implement quality standards, documenting inspection results, participating in root cause analysis for nonconformities, and contributing to corrective and preventive actions. The role involves working closely with production, engineering, and management teams to ensure adherence to quality procedures, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate quality records and reports. The intern will also learn and apply quality tools and techniques under the guidance of senior team members. Qualifications Strong foundation in Quality Engineering and Quality Management, with the ability to understand and support quality systems and processes. Skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, including inspection, testing, and documentation of manufacturing and assembly activities. Knowledge of Product Quality principles, including specifications, tolerances, and defect analysis for precision components and assemblies. Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related engineering discipline. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, fabrication, and machine assembly is an advantage. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use measurement instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement. Willingness to work on-site in a shop-floor environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and learn from hands-on experience.
